If you can take a look at your mail server settings specifically the IMAP and SMTP. Make a note of the values and delete an overwrite them also check your passwords for both SMTP and IMAP. Make sure they are the same if you can’t see them look at the number of stars or dots.

Why IMAP Folder is Not Properly Syncing?

Look at the mail server settings boxes for password and port settings they’re the ones you need to delete and reapply. I will try the safe starts and experiment with the buttons ans see if it improves. I am using TB for just three weeks now and I have issues daily when sending send/receive error 0x800CCC0E fix mail with no attachments the outgoing mail server will time out. Since the sync issue is universal it appears to be a global issue.

Chosen Solution

I work in a small company and for the past 2 weeks we've been having issues with customer support Outlook account. The account is used as IMAP in all customer support clients, every time you set up the mail in anyones computer diagnose Office activation conflicts it just sync 30-50GB ost files... And because of the size, this is making the mail simply stop working after one day of normal use, forcing the users to end outlook process to make the mail sync again properly... But only when you close/open the mail again.

IMAP folder sync issue in the new Outlook (moved emails not syncing to webmail)

Microsoft Outlook is terrible in IMAP. Hence most people only use MAPI with it. If you are forced to use IMAP, I would recommend switching to an alternative E-Mail client like Thunderbird Thunderbird — Free Your Inbox.

See the attached picture for the Properties window for a user-created folder.I also noticed that some IMAP settings — like the root folder path (e.g. "INBOX") — are not available in the new Outlook, which makes troubleshooting more difficult.I would suggest that frequent changes to folder contents on multiple devices will make it go wrong.Subscribing to a folder makes it appear in the Folder Pane, but one might not always want a folder to be synced automatically if it is mainly an archive folder or one that seldom receives new mail.I’ve never heard of setting a path before for email, so apologies if this is a simple solution to those who come across this in the future.Simply enter your email address OR username in order to reset your password.

My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update

It's not until I click on that folder I will then see the 10 and 3 and two second later it will sync and new ones will populate. The issue is; just looking at my email accounts and the numbers shown next to the folders I cant Outlook Not Sending or Receiving Email tell if there is new mail or not until I click on them. I have all desktop alerts turned off I prefer it this way I don't need all of that. I just want to be able to look and see new message. Even if I have an account with zero message I need to click to see the new ones there are no numbers appear.

Wonder if the vpn is causing an issue. Perhaps something in TB needs to be tweaked. I have no firewall monitors running during the day that would interfere just the vpn. I have several email accounts / IMAP set-up. So looking at my tree of email accounts one inbox might have 10 mail total and 3 unread form earlier.
